Aran Aira sat in the throne of the Igmar Hall of Honor. He pondered to himself about the past, what had happened since the days of his former self, Rorek Black. It was only hours before that himself, and a goblin named Grovel Pissant had walked into the streets of Igmar, declaring that the Lord had returned. People had stared as Aran walked through the street, but upon looking at his face, they knew it was him, Rorek. The Lord of Igmar sat in his throne, wondering about the trees, about Berrymuck. He had only moments before met with Ulli Burlybranch, coming to what he hoped to be a long peace with the druid. There was much to do, but he was back. Aran Aira, the Lord of Igmar, sat in his throne, pondering.

Meanwhile, on the road from
Abrightis, steel rings on steel. An Igmar guard sinks his axe
into the shoulder of a Abrightis watchman... An Igmar crossbowman cocks
his weapon and waits his moment, then fires. The quarrel flies true,
piercing the breastplate of the Abrightis watchman, who drops to his
knees and then to the ground.

Later that evening, a note reaches the Lord of Igmar in the dead of night, reporting a quarrel between patrol guards in the Abrightis area. Aran awoke with a start and read the note quickly, knowing he would have to take action. "Pull the guard from duty, I want him put on trial immediately for murder. Please inform his family, and research his background."
With that, the Lord of Igmar rushed from his home dressed in commoners robes to Abrightis, where he gave a full apology and explanation of the situation to the guards and leaders of the city that were in the area. Damn these quarrels and the men with their high tempers, can't there just be peace? Aran thought this to himself as he walked back into Igmar, awaiting information on the guard in question.

*Ravens watch as the leader of Igmar rushes, unescorted, down the road to Abrightis and back... Two take flight, winging off across the forests, while the others settle to watch the road.*

Once again, an Abrightis guard strays into Igmar territory... Tempers flare, and blows are struck...

The Igmar guard, lightly armed, dodges the initial blow, then shifts to his axe...

The self-proclaimed ruler of Igmar runs up, and is witness to his
guard's death. The Abrightis paladin charges off to attack the
crossbowman who has been sniping at him...
//ooc--favorite shot
Aran acts, and a swarm of fiery arrows fells the Abrightis guard before he can kill another Igmar guard.
Aran Aria blames the diminutive Druid, Ulli Burlybranch...

Ulli accuses.

What will come of this?
//Da da Daaaaaaaaa...

Aran enters the Igmar Hall of Honor after a very tiring day. Ulli Burlybranch had yet again lured an Abrightis guard to another quarrel. Aran had been lucky to come across the halflings doings before it was to late for both Igmar Patrolmen, but he was unable to save the life of one. After being forced to kill an Abrightis guard in defense of his own, because of a troublesome halfling, Aran felt down and without hope. Why does he cause so many problems....Why? I have asked him to stop...He lies to people infront of my own face....I don't understand...
Aran had recently been in conversation with the Thain Lovar, seeking his council on what to do on this matter. He was confident with the Thain's support in any punishment Aran decided upon with Ulli, but this wouldn't stop the druid. Aran sat in his throne, pondering for a long while, before getting up and moving in search for Rachelle in the city of Igmar.

Ulli sits with Sylvi, deep in conversation...
"I know, Sylvi, I know. The chief is mad at me, too. That Aran spends
so much time in our village, I don't know how I will avoid him... His
people are so hasty. I know I shouldn't bait the Brighty guards into
slaying those Igmar barbarians, but they make it so easy! Damnable
humans, anyway. That Aran came and apologized to me. ME, a guardian of
the woods, with some damned longshanks begging my forgivness. Bah! A
leader leads, and does not kow-tow to those who would do their people
wrong." Ulli sighs. "A time of reckoning will be soon. I only hope that
Sajisra will guide me."
Sylvi speaks, "Ulli, I know the Igmar barbarians did horrible things to
you in their prison, but this endless skirmish with them will do you no
good, and may end up doing Berrymuck harm. The Thain will not protect
you forever. And Keasharn's patience with you won't last." *jealousy in
her voice* "I don't like the way she looks at you, nor the way
that blonde giant Ninsun flaunts herself in front of
you...." *pats Ulli's...lap* "There are benefits for me, but I still
don't like it."
Ulli clears his throat and straightens up a bit. "Now Sylvi, what
Ninsun does and what those damned Igmarians do are two very different
things. I know that our village is a peaceful place, and I aim to keep
it that way. If these humans would just leave us alone, and leave our
forests to the beasts and to us... I am troubled by Aran. He muses
o'ermuch, and drinks himself to a stupor in our tavern, night after
night... If he is not careful, something may befall him."
Ulli falls silent, and holds Sylvi's hand by the garden as they watch the twilight deepen...

"BUT THAIN LOVAR!" cries Sylvi, "HE IS ONE OF YOUR CITIZENS! HOW CAN YOU SAY THIS?"
Bach responds, "Sylvi, he is directly responsible for the death of two guards whose only crime was to do their duty to their kingdom. I can not endorse such activities even by ignoring them. I am sorry Silvi, but Ulli will no longer receive support or protection from Berrymuck as long as he commits such crimes."
*The druidess begins to weep* "But, I love him Bach. I truely do."
*Bach notes the fact Sylvi used his name for the first time since he became Thain* "I know Sylvi and he is still my old and dear friend. But you know what he did was wrong. I can not say what Sajisra would say but Torm teaches me that such acts can not go unpunsihed. Know that if I am able, I will attend Ulli's hearing and will not vote death." *Bach takes Sylvi's hand* "I grow ever concerned with his tactics but I have not abandoned him."
*Sylvi smiles a little* "I know you have not." *she straightens* "But you will understand I do not agree with you, Thain Lovar"
"And you know I respect your thoughts and welcome your opinions Sylvi" replies Bach.
With that nothing more needs be said as these two who have worked together for Berrymuck for so long now understand each others duties and beliefs. Sylvi bows and departs as Bach continues to pen a letter to the House of Berrymuck regarding Ulli's actions.
***OOC, love those action shots Ulli!****
