Siege Engines

Siege Engines are currently only in an experimental stage. They do function and do do serious damage however and a few have been scattered about for testing, some in Torr countryside and a couple can be found in the entrance to the Lizardman City of Sish (where they are very useful).

To use a siege engine simply click on one. You will get a dialogue that will allow you to change the approximate target of your weapon. Siege weapons are targeted on the ground only, catapults do area effect damage while ballistae currently "hit" any target that is within a a foot or two of where the shell lands. You can use the "Check Aim" feature to display the weapons current target on the ground. Turning the weapon Left/Right is self explanatory. Changing the Elevation of the weapon changes where the weapon is targeted vertically. This is to allow you to target foes down in a valley or up on a higher level of terrain relative to your position. It is possible to target the weapon in mid air or under a mountain, however that wouldn't be very useful.

Catapults and Ballistae take ammunition to fire. These shots must be placed nearby the weapon to be used and one shot will automatically be used every time the weapon is fired. Ammunition for these weapons often comes by the "Case" which holds 10 rounds. When a case of ammo is activated, it will drop 10 rounds of ammunition in a small circle at your feet. Do this while very close to the weapon so you don't have to carry the heavy shells around individually
