The Faith skill is used primarily for praying at temples and
shrines, it is also used when you die in combat to sometimes bring you
back.
Praying at Temples and Shrine
Typically there will be either a Flame, Altar or some other
selectable object within a holy place where you can pray or meditate.
Clicking on this object will bring up a conversation. Praying can only be
performed once every 15 minutes of real time. The effects of successful
prayer varies depending on where you are praying at but typically mild
successes offer divine insights in the form of temporary bonuses while
greater successes could yield powerful temporary bonuses and divine quests.

Divine Intervention on Death
Whenever your character gets killed in a hostile area there
is a chance to be revived or aided through a miraculous event. This chance is
determined by your Faith Skill. Right at the point where you would normally
get a respawn window GUI, your faith will be checked vs difficulty 0. If
successful your character will say a simple prayer using your deities name
and be granted help. Simple successes will cause you to be resurrected and slightly healed although
you will immediately be attacked again by any enemies nearby. Greater
successes however can provide you with very potent temporary enhancements or
resurrect and heal your entire party. At the highest levels of success,
Divine Interventions can occur. This can be quite dramatic and involves very
powerful Angelic Warriors or even heavenly dragons coming down on a beam of
light to aid you for a couple of minutes and then leaving. Miracles like
this are on a 10 minute timer before they can be attempted again.
| Non-Success |
No Effect. Respawn as normal. |
| Success |
Miraculous Recovery. Your character will be resurrected
and healed to 20% of his max hit points. |
| Great Success |
Divine Heal. Your character will be fully healed and
granted several enhancements to attack damage and spell resistance. |
| Incredible Success |
Divine Recovery. As Divine Heal except your entire party
will be either receive a Miraculous Recovery is they are dead or be healed
for half of their max hit points. |
| Phenomenal Success |
Divine Intervention. As Divine Recovery except before
this happens, a bright sunbeam of light will shine down and bring forth an
Angelic Warrior or Guardian for every 4 levels your character has. These
powerful warriors will attack anything enemies in sight and then fly off
into the sky. They will stay for a maximum of 2 minutes before leaving. If
you are killed again before then, they will resurrect you before they
leave. |
| Legendary Success |
Call of the Demigod. As Divine Intervention except in
addition to the Angelic Warriors, an Angelic Dragon will also be brought
down to insure a swift removal of any enemies nearby. |
