When you first enter the world, your character is given an
undroppable item affectionately called "Player's Handbook". This item, when
activated, gives you access to special features of the game such as your
secondary skills and "looking for group" flag etc. This item cannot be sold or
taken from you (it will automatically be returned). The features that are in
this item are described below.
Examine Secondary Skills
This section will display a list of the secondary skills present in the
game (tradeskills and special skills). It will also show you the level you have in that particular skill as
well as the total bonus you will receive when using that skill. You can
select a skill to see how your total bonus is calculated as well as a brief
description on its use. You can also spend your secondary skills points here
to raise the level of a particular skill assuming you have already gotten
your first level of skill from an appropriate trainer. . For a more detailed explanation of how
these skills work
click Secondary Skills
Examine Your Crafts
Crafts are the knowledge you have to make a particular type of item using
tradeskills. Having a high skill in Weaponcrafting for example, doesn't mean
you automatically know how to make every weapon in the world. Each
individual weapon would have to be learned as a separate "Craft". This
feature will display every craft you know and it what category they are in
in. For more information on how to make an item using tradeskills click
Tradeskills
Flag For Group
This simple feature will flag your character as "Looking for a Group". All
this does is place your name, level, race, class as well as current location
on a list that anyone can see. This diminishes the need to constantly yell
on the shout channel when looking for a group of players to adventure with.
Page a DM
This while "Page" all Dungeon Masters that are online with your name and
position. It's not much different than saying something on the DM chat
channel however this feature allows any DMs online to jump to your location
much easier using special DM items. You should only try paging a DM when you
have a serious "Out of character" problem such as being physically stuck or
are experiencing (or witnessing) a bug or exploit.
Armor Color Sets
This feature allows you to save your current armor coloration and apply it
to any other set of armor or clothing you put on. This makes it easy for you
to take your favorite "look" and apply it to new suits of armor or clothing
without having to go through the tedium of using 6 different dyes every
time.
Special Character Info
From here you can see what your current Hunger and Fatigue levels are as
well as what city you will respawn in if you are killed (The city of the
last Inn you entered). The amount of time your character has spent in the
game is also displayed in minutes.
Re-Make Your Character
You are only allowed to have one character at a time on the World Of Torr.
If you want to change characters you may do so but your current character
will be de-leveled and stripped. The good news is that you can take 50% of
your current XP and give it to the new character you are making. This
feature in the Players Handbook will set your XP and strip your current
character, then boot you out of the server. When you come back in with a new
character, the Planar Boatman will know that you are remaking a character.
If you are certain that you want to use that new character the boatman will
give your XP and set that character to be your current one.
Cyanide Potion
Used as an absolute last resort and at your own leisure. This feature will
automatically and irrevocably kill your character immediately. You will take
full penalty for dying when using this feature! This feature has been
provided in case you find yourself in a situation where you deem it
necessary to die. Perhaps you were physically stuck with no DMs online or
some other bizarre reason.
